Dahl and Broccoli Curry
Equipment
Small pot, large pan, and stove
Measuring cups and spoons
Knife/Cutting Board
something to stir with
Dahl
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 large onion
1 tablespoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon coriander, ground
1/2 teaspoon paprika
3/4 teaspoon cumin
3/4 teaspoon garam masala
1 cup lentils (I will be using red lentils, but any will do)
1 3/4 cup vegetable broth
1/2 cup lite coconut milk
1/2 cup crushed tomatoes (canned)
salt
Broccoli Curry
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1/2 large onion
1/2 cup crushed tomatoes (canned)
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
3/4 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 head broccoli
To serve
brown rice or whole wheat nan, roti, or dosa
