Chicken Wings and Glazed Carrots
Equipment
Small pot and stove
Measuring cups and spoons
Knife/Cutting Board
Something to stir with
Sieve or colander
Baking sheets and a wire rack
Vegetable peeler
Oven
Chicken Wings
12 whole chicken wings or 24 pieces
1/2 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons creole seasoning (or other seasoning of your choice) made without salt
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 habanero
1 small shallot or 1/2 small onion
4 cloves of garlic, peeled
Glazed Carrots
1 pound carrots (regular or baby)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
1 teaspoon garlic paste
3/4 teaspoon cumin, ground
Optional ingredients to serve:
cilantro
peanuts
brown rice, other whole grain, or starchy vegetable
