Large, oven-safe pot or pan
Medium pot

Cutting board & knife
Something to stir with
Filling
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound ground meat (90+ percent lean)
4 tablespoons flour
3 large carrots
2 celery stalks
1 onion
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons thyme
2 bay leaves
12 ounces stout, porter, or other dark beer
1 quart low-sodium or no salt added beef stock
Other veggies as desired: peas, mushrooms, parsnips, etc.

Potato Topping
4 large russet potatoes
1 cup skim milk
1/2 cup sour cream
